Terms and conditions
Please read the terms and conditions thoroughly and carefully to ensure that you completely understand them, prior to making a booking with us. This is a binding agreement between you and Tanzibar Tours.
How to make Bookings
You can make your bookings by contacting us through:

Bookings/Reservations
In order to secure your booking, werequire a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total of booking, paid within 2 weeks of the date of the invoice. Please note that, (all bookings made during the covid-19 pandemic, the trip can be moved forward 12 months).
Full payment must be received no later than 8 weeks/60 days prior to the arrival date of your trip. If your booking is being made and confirmed within 8 weeks of your arrival date, the balance must be paid in full. Once Tanzibar Tours has received full payment; we will send you a written confirmation letter/email.
Method of Payments
You may pay in any exchangeable currency however, if is not USD dollar, GBP Pound sterling or EUR, please check first with us for the exchange rate. Payment may be made by electronic transfer via our website, or let us know if you wish to pay by other method e.g. credit card and we will send you an authorisation form for you to fill in and must be signed and emailed back to Tanzibar Tours. We accept most of major credit cards i.e. VISA or MasterCard, although any bank/credit card charges are your responsibility.
Passports and Visas
You are required to ensure that your passport and travel documentation are in order and that you have obtained the necessary valid visas for your journey, and that you have taken necessary vaccinations, immunisations, boosters, Yellow Fever and Malaria precautions. Should you require assistance on this matter we will be pleased to make recommendations.
International and Domestic Travel bookings
Please double check and reconfirm your flight bookings. It is your responsibility to ensure all arrangements have been completed by yourself. Your tours or safari arrangements may be booked to connect with international and domestic air flights; it is your responsibility to keep us updated as to your flight number and times.
Changesto your Bookings
Tanzibar Tours anticipate and believe to provide you with all the requirements that have been agreed and confirmed to you at the time of booking. We plan to do all arrangements required and agreed in advance of your trip. We work with local independent providers such as hotels, lodges, B & B and more, over whom we have no control of their services they provide. It is very rare and uncommon to have to make these changes, and Tanzibar Tours reserve the right to make these occasions.
Once your booking has been confirmed should you wish to make any changes to your itinerary, package or wish an earlier/later date, we will be flexible about making changes to meet your needs andbudged, provided that all changes are made in time in writing. We will make every effort to accommodate you requests based on availability, the package price is subjected to change however, there may extra cost apply to accommodate your request. These costs are in addition to the charges quoted to you during the initial bookings, standard cancellation fees will apply if you wish to postpone your trip (tour or safari).
Travel Insurance
It is our condition that in order to take part in a tour or safari trip with Tanzibar Tours, it is compulsory to have the right comprehensive travel and medical insurance covers for you and your travelling companions or dependents for the entire trip booked including all activities involved. Tanzibar Tours reserve the right to cancel the entire tours or safaris or part of it if appropriate travel insurance is not arranged.
The travel insurance should include coverage in respect of, but not limited to, the following eventualities: cancellation or curtailment of the trip, emergency evacuation expenses, medical expenses, repatriation or return expenses, quarantine expenses, damage, theft or loss of personal luggage, money and any other belongings. Tanzibar Tours holds no responsibility for any costs incurred due to losses suffered by you, or your dependents or travelling companions.
In the event of an emergency, you may find yourself unable to access emergency services if you are not carrying the necessary and relevant insurance coverage. Your will be charged by the relevant service providers for any emergency services required. Tanzibar Tours hold no responsibility for any additional costs incurred through the use of emergency services.
You must be insured for the full duration of your trip in respect of illness, injury, death to persons while on a trip with Tanzibar Tours, loss of baggage and personal belonging/items, cancellation and curtailment. Tanzibar Tours and its local partners will not be responsible if anyone should fail to take adequate insurance cover, the choice of insurer is your decision.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Please note that, booking fee and the deposit are non-refundable, if you decide to cancel your booking/reservation for any reason. You must inform us in writing (by email or post is acceptable) but by telephone will not be valid. You must include your full name, telephone number, date and a signed request by the person who booked the tour or safari. Please note that cancellations are only effective on receipt of written note.
The date of the cancellation will be the date shown on the email when, but if the cancellation was sent by post, the date of cancellation will be the date when the letter is received, not the date it may be postmarked.
If cancellations are made 8 weeks prior to your trip/arrival date, your deposit is lost. If your cancellation is made after the due date for full payment of your tour or safari, charges will be imposed.
Yourbookingcancellations are subject to a cancellation fees and will be charged as follow:

GENERAL CONDITIONS
Medical and Well-being
It is your responsibility to make sure that you have consulted your doctor, or the relevant medical specialists prior to travel to ensure you are in good health to take part in the booked trip. Make us aware of any medical conditions, allergens, or dietary restrictions well before your trip, and if possible at the time of booking. If you or any of your dependants or companions suffers from a serious and life threatening allergies and medical conditions you should rethink about this trip.
The nature of the tour or safari may not be suitable for serious or life threatening allergies. We recommend that you consult your GP or, a medical practitioner prior to travel to ensure all relevant vaccinations are taken and your medical and wellbeing health is in order.
You must make sure that you have a Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate which is required for entry clearance into Tanzania. All participants in a trip should take Malaria preventions and ensure the right amounts of any other required medications are brought on the trip, and these are the solely your responsibility.
You must also arrange and observe all required COVID-19 practises including test certificates necessary to meet travel requirements. Tanzibar Tours is not responsible for any restriction of the tour or safari due to COVID-19.
Risks
You are solely responsible for your personal property. Tanzibar Tours draws attention to the fact that there are risks involved in taking part in any trip and anywhere around the world, and that you must accept them at your own risk.
Tanzibar Tours holds no responsibility for risks arising from circumstances which are out of the control of our company including (but not limited to): environmental pollutants, radioactive contamination, nuclear waste, the combustion of nuclear fuel, or toxic, explosive or other hazardous properties of any nuclear component of the same or war, natural disaster including flood, fire or accident, explosion, war or threat of war, sabotage, invasion, civil disturbance or requisition, government intervention, sickness, quarantine, pandemic, climatic conditions or other unseemly incidences.
It is sole your responsibility to take all appropriate medical advice prior to departure as to whether or not you are fit enough to take part in the trip booked.
IMPORTANT
COVID-19 POLICY – Cancellation or postponement
In the event of Covid-19 pandemic and resulting travel restrictions, Tanzibar Tours can postpone your tour or safari up to 12 months(maximum of one year) in advance free of charge. Please note that these travel restrictions must be Covid-19 related, Tanzibar Tours reserve the right to see evidence of these in writing by email or post. You must inform us as soon as a travel restriction is likely to affect your booking. Postponement is free of charge up to 8 weeks/60 days prior to travel.
Tanzibar Tours will make an effort to arrange the same itinerary where possible. We cannot guarantee against price changes but will make an effort to keep them the same.
You are liable for any price changes including changes of season of your trip (Peak, High, Low season). Cancellations are subject to the standard cancellation plan or schedule. Due to the ongoing global pandemic COVID-19, a refund shall apply within the minimum of 90 days of cancellation of your tour/safari (trip). Tanzibar Tours is not responsible for repatriation/return should an outbreak occur during your trip however, will endeavour to assist whenever possible.
(Please note that, the situation with COVID-19 is still uncertain, nobody can predict the future. So, our policy will be reviewed and being amended accordingly.
Covid-19 Testing
If Covid-19 testing is required, Tanzibar tours cannot be held responsible for any losses or any expenses incurred by you due to a delay in receiving of Covid-19 testing results which prevents or impacts ability to travel at any point during the tour or safari. This includes but is not limited to: the cancellation of, or a delay to the start of, or during or on end of the confirmed booking itself.
